Travantis helps you build the awareness, practical knowledge and confidence to make better decisions before you leave home and while you’re away. Learn how to recognise risks early, avoid common travel threats and respond more effectively when plans change or something goes wrong.

Travel Safety Starts Before You Go

Most journeys are safe, positive and memorable. But unfamiliar places, busy transport hubs, nightlife, scams, theft, medical issues and unexpected disruption can all create moments where good judgement matters.

Travantis helps travellers prepare for those moments before they happen.

We don’t believe travel safety should be about fear or restriction. It should be about awareness, confidence and practical decision making. Travel providers, accommodation services and tour operators all have a role to play, but travellers also have a responsibility to prepare properly, stay alert and take sensible steps to protect themselves and those travelling with them.

Our training gives travellers the knowledge to recognise early warning signs, reduce avoidable risk and respond more effectively when something doesn’t feel right.

Because safe travel doesn’t happen by chance. It comes from preparation, awareness and the choices you make along the way.

Empowering Safe, Smart, and Confident Travel

Travantis© was created to prepare travellers for real-world risks – from personal safety and awareness, scams to loss of belongings, hotel safety to natural disaster preparedness.

Built by security professionals with global field experience, our programmes combine practical skills, trusted strategies, and expert insight so you can travel with confidence, not fear.

S.A.F.E. is the Travantis© framework for building travel confidence and awareness. It stands for:

Situational Awareness
Actions & Avoidance
Foresight & Planning
Emergency Readiness

This is the foundation of safe travel.

Once you’ve recognised a potential risk, the next step is acting wisely. This can be as simple as choosing a safer route back to your hotel, keeping valuables out of sight, or blending in with local crowds. Avoidance is not weakness, it’s the smartest way to reduce exposure and stay in control.

Recognising Risks.

Once you’ve recognised a potential risk, the next step is acting wisely. This can be as simple as choosing a safer route back to your hotel, keeping valuables out of sight, or blending in with local crowds. Avoidance is not weakness, it’s the smartest way to reduce exposure and stay in control.

Preparation turns uncertainty into confidence.

This means researching your destination, knowing cultural norms, planning safe transport options, and preparing backup routes. It also includes setting up contingency plans, such as where to meet if separated from your group or how to contact help if technology fails.

Even with the best planning, things can go wrong.

Emergency readiness is about being equipped to respond calmly and effectively. It covers knowing escape routes, carrying essential items like a small first aid kit or emergency contact card, and having the confidence to act quickly in a crisis, whether that’s medical, security, or natural hazard related.

Drink Spiking Abroad: When Someone’s Condition Does Not Match What They Have Consumed

A British traveller’s experience in Malia shows why sudden impairment abroad must trigger action—not assumptions and why friends should never allow an affected person to become separated from trusted support.

Every year, British travellers abroad face life-changing incidents they never saw coming. Here are just a few real examples:

Poisoned in Paradise

November 2024, a young British woman travelling in Laos collapsed after consuming vodka suspected of being contaminated with methanol. She survived, but six other travellers were killed in the wider poisoning incident, including her best friend.

Robbed and Injured

September 2022, a British tourist was robbed by four men near Barcelona’s Las Ramblas. When he pursued the thieves and attempted to recover his belongings, he was stabbed and required hospital treatment. Police later arrested four suspects and recovered the stolen property.

Swept Away

November 2025, a group of holidaymakers, including British siblings Lauren Smy and Jason Lambert were caught in a rip current at Freedom Beach in Phuket. Beachgoers attempted a rescue, but Jason drowned. His family later raised serious concerns about the beach’s lifeguard capability.

No Signs of Forced Entry

February 2023, a British family staying at a 5-star hotel in Tenerife returned from the pool to discover that their room had been entered. Handbags, electronics, sunglasses and cash were missing, even money reportedly stored inside the locked room safe, with no obvious sign of forced entry.

A structured pathway to safer travel.

Built by practitioners and aligned with leading resilience standards, along with decades of real-world experiences.

"You were there to protect them when they were little. Now, give them the skills to protect themselves."

Every parent worries when their child travels. But anxiety doesn’t protect them - knowledge does. That’s why I created Travantis: to give young travellers the essential skills, sharp situational awareness, and proven safety protocols to recognise risks, avoid danger, and respond decisively when every second matters.

As a former UK Special Forces operator and father of three daughters, I’ve lived these principles. The lessons that kept me and my teams safe in some of the world’s most demanding environments are the same lessons I now share with your family. Because when it comes to your child’s safety, “good enough” simply isn’t enough.

Some words from our learners

I was honestly a bit nervous about travelling, especially for such a long time and in new places. This program helped me feel way more prepared. The modules were easy to follow, and I learned so much about things I hadn’t even thought of like hotel safety, passport backups, and how to stay alert in busy areas. It really boosted my confidence, and now both my boyfriend and I feel ready to take on our trip with the right mindset. Super thankful we found this program!

Vilma, 17 – Preparing for a gap year with her boyfriend
My dad’s big on safety stuff, so when he told me he’d signed me up to Travantis before my trip, I thought it was just another one of his ‘be careful’ things. But honestly? I’m glad he did. The course was clear, really practical, and not boring like I expected. I learned how to spot risks early, what to do if something goes wrong, and even how to think more clearly under pressure. It’s made me way more aware without feeling paranoid. I’m actually excited to travel now and I know he’s feels better too.
Matilda, 19 – First-time solo traveller
I’ve been abroad a few times already and thought I had a good handle on things but Travantis proved there’s always more to learn. The content was sharp, practical, and packed with tips I hadn’t come across before. It didn’t feel over the top or alarmist just smart, well-delivered advice that really makes you think differently about your surroundings. Honestly, I’d recommend it to anyone travelling, no matter how experienced you think you are. It’s the kind of knowledge that sticks with you.
James, 23 – Experienced traveller
